    Death rate accounts for 1 in every 5 cases for those aged 80 and above. According to the Singapore Straits time, at least 39 people in this age group have been infected, eight have died, accounting for more than half of the 14 deaths that Singapore has suffered so far.

    In addition, all 14 deaths involved people aged 64-95, showing just how vulnerable older people are to the disease. 

Besides Singapore, it is also happening in Malaysia!

    Sixty percent of Malaysia’s 65 coronavirus disease (Covid-19) deaths involve those aged 60 and older, Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham disclosed today according to the malaymail newspaper. 

    The elderly and those with chronic diseases typically experience more severe symptoms of Covid-19, which require intensive care or respiratory support. 

    As most government efforts are required to be focus on the frontliner, our company hope we can do our part. Ultifresh is running a national campaign in Singapore and Malaysia targeting elderly aged 55 and above.
